Contribute to Fusion development

The project is always looking for people interested in P2P-applications and all help is very much appreciated! In addition to coding, you can also contribute by testing the software or by developing graphics, themes, translations to other languages etc.

The easiest way to join the community is to join the mailing list at:

 http://lists.uiah.fi/mailman/listinfo/p2p-fusion

The mailing list at p2p-fusion(AT)taik(dot)fi is the main channel of communication. Users and developers are suggested to use it for questions, ideas, patches and all kinds of matters related to P2P-Fusion.

Opportunities for developers

Fusion offers developers many possibilities to extend the platform or use the technology in their own projects, as listed below (if you are not yet familiar with Fusion, see an overview of the Fusion architecture).

If you are interested in using the XULRunner-based SMAK development environment, you can start by reading the the introduction to SMAK.

If you want to use the P2P-network and social enrichment features found in the Python-based Bumblebee library, you can start from the introduction to Bumblebee.

Working with the core code of SMAK and Bumblebee is also appreciated. Developers interested in this can start by reading the above documentation and then seeing other more precise instructions in the Documentation page.

As usually, development starts by getting the code and building your own version. This operation is described in the Build instructions.

Ideas about future developments have been collected here.
